Genghis Khan has also been featured in Architectural Digest's "Editor's Present Designers' Sources" (October 2004), where Roderick N. Shade said that when he discovered Genghis Khan
"It was a breath of fresh air." (pg. 104)
I have been very fortunate to know all of the family at Genghis Khan as I move often! Each of my homes in San Diego, Las Vegas and Maui contained the perfect pieces from the store. And when the homes were sold - the new owners also purchased the furniture as it is unique and special.

Having spent a number of years both visiting and living in the Far East, while serving in the military, I have become quite enamored with the art and artifacts of this region of the world.
Although having retired in San Diego, I found that there were only a few shops that occasionally would display something of an Asian motif. However, I fortunately soon discovered that Genghis Khan had the largest, most authentic display of merchandise that constantly peaked my interest. I also found that if Genghis Khan did not have exactly what I wanted in stock that they would painstakingly search for it on their frequently quarterly trips to the Orient or have it constructed to my specifications at one of their factories in China.
I believe that once you have visited Genghis Kahn you too will be captivated by the merchandise you see along with the reasonable prices and become a constant visitor and customer.

Genghis Khan has been my favorite place to shop and browse for over 10 years. Not only are the owners and staff knowledgeable regarding the history of the furniture and artifact in their store they're attentive and most helpful on what might work for you. They truly enjoy what they do and it shows in their service. If you're not sure a piece is right for your room they will take a picture and e-mail it to you, or, better, let you take it home on approval.
Many thanks to you, Annie, Alex, and Sandra, for sharing your knowledge and experience with your many grateful customers.
Wishing you much continued success.

I have been a satisfied customer of Genghis Khan store for many years. Perhaps the main reasons I keep coming back is that they have an extraordinary selection of items that have intrigued me and they are constantly bring new items into the store. I have been extremely pleased with their standards of service and fair pricing. Starting out small with one piece my wife and I now have a fully furnished home mainly with Genghis Khan treasures. You won't be disappointed.

Genghis Kahn Furniture has been a valuable source for our Asian inspired decor for more than ten years. We have furnished our home with one-of-a-kind antiques, art, lamps and collectibles. We have also found beautiful minerals for display and unique jewelry pieces for us and as gifts for family and friends. It is always a delightful experience to explore the store and visit with the wonderful owners and staff.

When moving to California we decided to decorate our new home with an Asian influence, and to our amazement we met Annie the owner of Genghis Khan, for the next several years we made many purchases until our home was complete.
To Anne a door is not just a door, a bench an alter piece is not to be limited either. Her visions and creativity turn these pieces into tables, wall mounts, cabinet bottoms, and endless uses for "just" a door. Her talent to turn broken pieces into usable home decorations, to take often extremely large imported pieces and see them become usable smaller pieces.
Never compromising the history behind the actual piece. Her creative genius and easy going style make Genghis Khan a one of a kind. The ability to restore neglected furniture and give it a new life, is a miracle. Many times Annie will take a picture of the furniture when she first finds it, and tape it to the piece, you get to see what she found, and what she gave a new beginning to.
Always there to provide guidance and history, and never a worry something would not fit at home. She would often times recommend take it home and live with it then let her know.
The talent associated with Genghis Khan, a family owned and run business, gives us the opportunity to fully appreciate the workmanship of the Chinese culture, both past and present.

My husband and I love to travel to Asia and Africa. We particularly enjoy bringing home unique works of art and furnishings from our visits. What we find at Genghis Khan is always a great compliment to our travel pieces, and consistently they are objects we have not seen before. We are always surprised by the quality and originality of our purchases at Genghis Khan, and we have come to regard the staff as friends and trusted advisers when it comes to our home decor."

For over 25 years, I have furnished several homes with purchases from the Genghis Khan Furniture store--from the time they were on Park Blvd. to the present, at their Morena Blvd. store.
Everything is stellar quality, delightful, unique, and I can assure you, everyone will be able to find something to enhance their home. May I suggest you make your acquaintance with the various family members who own and run this delightful store. They have integrity, are very helpful, and do not use pressure tactics.

Upon entering Genghis Khan Furniture I was amazed at the vast array of beautiful artifacts before me.
I am a sculptor and love exotic and well-crafted pieces of art. That is truly what your store has to offer. I felt as though I was surrounded by centuries worth of beautiful art.
My friend, Nancy, and I have continued to visit your store every few months for the past several years. Each time we are greeted by your friendly staff, including Anne, the store owner, who gives us a thorough background of each piece in which we are interested.
My friend, who is an interior decorator, introduced me to your store. We have both purchased many beautiful, large pieces of furniture, as well as gourgeous accessories.
Each room of my house includes an armoire from you, as well as many interesting and exotic art pieces. These all enhance my own contemporary decor.
Whenever I have out of town guests, Genghis Khan Furniture is on our itinerary of places to visit.
Thank you for introducing me to the beautiful world of chinese art, which is so elegantly displayed in your store.

Genghis Khan Furniture has over the years been a source of fine furniture and most unique treasures for us. We have a house full to prove it! Just to mention a few pieces; 19th Century courtyard doors made of elm wood and hand wrought iron, hand fashioned rosewood dinning and buffet set, 19th Century hand carved flower stand and the list does go on.
The experience there is always so special, greeted with a smile and soft asian music in the background, easy to spend a delightful afternoon just wandering and wondering "where could I put this piece?"
It is amazing how furniture/objects d'art are located in such a large country as China then so skillfully selected and brought to Genghis Kahn to be displayed in a most pleasing architectural fashion.
Even though we now live more than 500 miles away we always make a special effort when in San Diego, to stop, visit and enjoy the staff at Genghis Kahn and of course usually make a purchase.
Truly our favorite!

It is always such a pleasure to talk about Genghis Khan. Over the last ten years, we have acquired many unique and unusual accessories and furniture pieces from them. Today, each room in our home has lasting memories from the store. Family owned and operated, each member--and associate--gives graciously of their time and expertise, helping you make your choices meaningful. Our selection of Chinese window shutters is a testimony to this fact. May Genghis Khan continue to provide others with the same pleasure and satisfaction as they have provided us.

Genghis Khan, its people, its furnishings, and its "beautiful things", have been an inspiration for Nora and I for many years. To say our home, the very quality of our lives, has greatly benefited by our association would be an understatement. The serenity, grace, and pleasures brought about by the wonderful style and workmanship of these pieces is matched only by the honesty and integrity of Annie and all the others who work tirelessly to bring us the "Wonders of the World". Congratulations to the entire crew for thirty-plus years of providing a window on the world in our own living rooms.

Once you venture through the doors of Genghis Khan…you’re hooked!
Most likely, you have never seen such a collection of Asian all in one place. I bring my clients into Genghis Khan to open their eyes to the design possibilities of Asian style pieces sparking intrigue into their homes. Always on an adventure in China , Annie the company owner is on the hunt for those prized pieces that designers come to expect from her collection.
I have definitely been influenced as to the design possibilities of Asian pieces setting off the tone of a room…for 24 years I was employed by Genghis khan as the in-store designer. I recommend the Genghis Khan experience to everyone!
